Retrato de Sol was born from the desire to preserve in images what warms our Latin American home. The print creates an affectionate picture frame where a tropical scene appears in the background, like a living memory of a place that illuminates from the inside out. The lace frame wraps everything delicately, reminiscent of home decorations that have passed down generations.
In the center of this portrait, the sun jumps out of the image itself in the form of embroidery, breaking the surface as if insisting on shining beyond the paper. It is a mix of techniques that leaves the piece alive, between collage, print and manual gesture.
At the base of the composition, the phrase affirms what we believe as a house: our Latin warmth cannot be bought, because it is born from who we are and what we share.
